Does the idea of a consultation appointment feel a little intimidating?
I've done a lot of consultations over the years with my wonderful clients, so I wanted to share my top tips for getting the most out of your consultations.
A lot of these tips are going to be very handy with summer right around the corner too!

A consultation appointment is where your hair colourist or hairdresser gets to share their expert advice, but the appointment is of course about you too. It's a chance for you to share what's working for your hair, but also what isn't working.
Here's a few tips on what you might want to consider for your next consultation...
How do season changes affect your hair? With summer coming up, our hair will naturally get lighter. If you already have highlights or blending, it's a good opportunity to check in to make sure you're still happy, and to make sure your colourist can factor that in if needed.
Does your vision for your hair fit in with your lifestyle? For example, if you want to have a shorter style that requires more styling, does that work with your daily routine? Maintenance of your hair after your appointment is a huge aspect to consider if you're thinking about a drastic change. Remember to be realistic!
What about the basics? Your eye colour can change how a hair colour looks on you. There's lots of resources online about what hair colours best suit different eye colours, and of course, your colourist will be hugely helpful here too.
And what about your skin colour? Again, this is something that can change as the seasons do. Do you need to factor that in for your next colour?
I hope asking yourself these questions before your next consultation appointment helps you!
