Your Guide to Healthier Hair Washing At Home

Healthy, beautiful hair begins with a clean and balanced scalp.
Oil, sweat, styling products, and environmental build-up can weigh hair down and affect how your hair looks and feels. A proper washing routine helps support scalp comfort, shine, and stronger-looking strands.
So today I'm sharing how to achieve the perfect professional hair wash routine at home, and you'll be pleased to hear it's super easy to achieve!
Start off your hair wash by thoroughly wetting your hair. We're then going to cleanse our hair first by using a detox or clarifying shampoo. Click here to take a look at my favourite one to use in the salon.
One of the secrets to improving how you wash your hair at home is to do a double wash. A double cleanse will ensure your hair is truly refreshed and ready to absorb moisture.
This first wash will remove oil, product build up and impurities from both the scalp and the hair. When you've finished the first cleanse, rinse your hair, and shampoo again using a more moisturising shampoo. This second wash will gently cleanse your hair while restoring hydration and softness. Make sure you then condition from the mid length of your hair to your ends.
As much as we love a hot shower, using lukewarm water during your whole hair wash process will help to protect moisture balance.

This simple double cleanse method has such a huge range of benefits for your hair: it helps improve volume, enhance scalp comfort, and keep hair fresher for longer.
This may take a little longer as part of your regular routine, but your hair and scalp will thank you!
